Toyo Roki Filters for 1999 Acura TL

This topic has already been discussed in the archives but I'm not sure if a definitive answer was ever agreed upon.


I would like to use the TR 15400-PCX-004 filter. The current OEM filter speced is the 15400-PLM-A02 manufactured by Honeywell/FRAM.

I know Honda is very tight lipped about their design for OEM fluids, filters,;; etc. Can someone tell me if the internal pressures required to operate the By-Pass Valves for both filters are similar? Will using the TR filter cause a problem?

I'm using the PCX-004 filter on our 02 Accord 3.0L V6. Seems to work just fine. Others are also using it on this and other Honda and Acura engines.

I use the PCX on my 04 Acura TL...no problems.
