This one and the Low SAPS one for European vehicles.

I've always considered Total in the same top tier as the rest. Very good oil. They can hit good price points because they're vertically integrated like XOM. Total Quartz INEO is their top of the line product, with 9000 right below it. I'm a big fan of INEO Long Life.

It just dares people to take off their snow-tires so we can have a storm the next week.

Funny you should say that, as a coworker came up to me today and asked if it was ok for him to take off his snow tires yet and I said to wait until May the 1st if he wants to be safe. I remember last year everyone took their snow tires off the first week of April and then we got hit with an ice storm the following week.

I wait until it's consistently 10c or above for a couple of weeks before taking them off. I can do it any time because they are on separate rims and I have the tools.

I'll have a look at that when I'm in there next.

I can get it for $34.95 ($26.88 USD) / 5 Litre jug at a local auto parts place here and was thinking of using this for my Father in-laws shorter OCI's in the Caravan. (A ton of short tripping)
I was surprised it was the inexpensive for a synthetic. (Regular price too, not any special sale)

Don't have a reason to use it, but I know the brand, it's french, Top Tier oil not very well known here with perhaps the exception of Quebec.
I'd use it without question if it fits your needs.

If you want an inexpensive synthetic to "short-trip" on, what is the Canadian equivalent of Harvest King?

It's only $12USD here for 5 quarts

We have no equivalent here anywhere close to that. Even our Supertech synthetic is around $30 CDN, so it's still way cheaper to pick it up in the US, even with the exchange rate.

It's been my experience that most synthetics (or conventionals for that matter) that aren't on the shuffle play list of Walmart and CT specials can be had at reasonably good prices at retail, including LM, Eneos, and Amsoil, and even Chevron at trucking outfits. I haven't stumbled across Total in the wild yet, but this doesn't surprise me.

I use Total Quartz INEO 5W30 in my 2018 Kia Sedona. I did a UOA at 6000km and no oil change. At 12000km will do another UOA and charge the oil.

Very good wear number too.

My Kadett runs smoothly with the 7000 15W50.

I only hear good things from Total, i think you should use it with confidence.

Same for my State. The day after I retire we're out of this mess.

Another option is to grab some Mobil 1 that's going on sale tomorrow at Canadian Tire, just $29.99 for a 4.73L (5qt) jug. Grab a bunch of those and keep them around for when you need to do oil changes for others. That's a better option than going for an unknown synthetic like Total Quartz, at a higher price.

I wouldn't go that far. Total makes great oil and has for years. Not necessarily better or worse than any other major brands, but it is quality stuff.

Total is the 4th largest oil company in the world. They are not small potatoes.

I am surprised they haven't made further inroads into the US market.

It's still an unknown entity on here, with few (if any) UOAs posted, and I can't recall a single person mentioning that it's the oil they run in their car.
