Kinda glad that I drained it at 4k instead of going 6k. The Torco did lower my iron count a little (24 with hav10-30 vs 16).

I knew that this oil would have lots of Moly and I wanted to see if Moly was the magic thing to lower the Jeep iron monster iron level down.

Looks like it lowered it just a tad.......Not $75 worth though. Replaced with Delo 15w40.

I'm a little disapointed in this oil for street use. It's definatly a race oil only?

I dunno whats up with the Silicon #'s. I have not touched the airfilter in quite a while.

Pretty good report, especially for a 5W30. It is almost identical to what I get with D1. I would like to find a reasonably priced and available xW30 that gives numbers as good as this. I would be very interested to see a UOA for the 4.0L from GC or Redline.

Thanks for posting. I have always been curious about this oil. I too am surprised that the TBN gave out after only 4,000 miles.

Chris142,
How many months was the interval?Your silicon is ~60% higher than your other Jeep UOA Topic: 02' Jeep 4.0 Havoline 10w/30, 3400 miles .If it was silicon leaching from gaskets,it would trend down.
Is this oil what followed the Quaker State 10w-40 that was used after the Havoline run?I'da like to have seen a back-to-back Torco run to minimize contamination from the previous oils "cooties".
Except for the TBN,not a bad looking UOA.Is this a Blackstone analysis?

Mark

Look at the total amount of moly difference Here

There was a recent thread about this oil and a member assured me Torco said this was a easy 7500 mile oil . I had my doubts in that thread but did not want to argue .

I think this analysis speaks my opinion for me but later on possibly another one will run through here to change my mind

Depending on the quality of the base oil , additives and actual type moly used 50-60 ppm is enough .

Thanks for sharing your analysis .

The oil was in for about 4 months. Yes I drained the QS 10w-40 early and did not sample that oil. I was really exited about putting $75 worth of oil in the Jeep

Yes this is a Blackstone analysis.

Sheesh - TBN was low.

You think the SR-1 ("Street" oil, as opposed to the SR-5 "Racing" oil) has better TBN retention?

I'll have a UOA of the SR-1 posted in a month or so, from the wife's Xterra.
