Yea, pretty sure he's talking about the US version. It blows.

There are SO many things wrong with that show it's not even funny, and is actually pretty depressing to dissect. What's really sad is that they have the PERFECT blueprint in TG UK, but still find new and pathetic ways to fail every episode. Also, no 3 co-hosts in the history of television have a more entertaining chemistry as Jeremy, James, and Hammond. No show in history has worse chemistry than TG US.

The episodes from this year are better.

They stopped trying to be UK Top Gear. They still are not the UK Top Gear. However, they are better than last year and leaps and bounds better than the Car Show.

I watched two episodes of that and pulled the plug on my DVR hoping it would lose the files, LOL.

I completely agree, this year Top Gear US is leaps and bounds better than last seasons. Still not as good as UK, and it never will be. As previously states the chemistry of UK Top Gear is untouchable.

I disagree with the Car Show assessment though. I saw my first episode two or three days ago and thought it was great. A light hearted show about cars and its a funny show to boot. I think it is better than Top Gear US to be honest.

Honestly, I rather watch the lawrence welk show for 8 hrs than 10 minutes of TopGear.

I had to play one hour of the Ramones just to get that stuff outta my head.

Since I really wasn't a fan of the Man Show, the Car Show seems to be the Man Show, but with cars. It's seems less about the cars and more about the personalities.

For me, Top Gear, even the US version is more about what I'm interested in, the cars and the antics.

The Car Show is to sophomoric for my tastes. But for those who like it, I hope is does well.

I tried Top Gear US again, it is still horrendous. Get some guys on that show that eat, sleep, and breathe cars. Not a two fat comedians and a drift guy. It is so [censored] scripted and predictable it is sickening. They should be ashamed.

I didn't watch Top Gear USA version last season but have watched every episode this season. Personally I like it as it's now geared more toward US interests. Supercars are nice but frankly I'm tired of seeing them over and over. They still have a ways to go to top the UK version but if you go and watch the first couple seasons of the UK version you'll see they'll get there. The Car Show is on the same level it'll get there eventually. UK Top Gear has been out 17 seasons I imagine there's nothing left that hasn't been done.

I watched the first couple of episodes and just stopped watching. It was horrible.

Watched again for the first time last night and I literally laughed out loud a couple of times.

+1. I'd rather watch grass grow. In the latest episode with the Vette racing the Ferrari, they weren't even racing! It was blatantly staged for the cameras!

I watched season one of TGUS as it was better than Dr Phil.

Season two, Ep one the presenters were suddenly fake-fighting, and rear ending each others' cars like what happened to James May several years back on TGUK.

It was an obvious ripoff, and done poorly. Their framed predicaments are also a little too obvious: Hey I was driving my miata through a field and I cut too close to this muddy watering hole and got stuck-- who'd have thought it?

TGUS had a bright spot in series one where they tried flipping used cars as a contest.

Whiney and douchey as they are, the presenters are okay, but the writing behind them is abhorrent. I feel bad Tanner's driving skills are not fully tested, or needed in arranged contests with the other two bozos. If they could be themselves the show would improve. See the first date thread.

TGUS would have a chance if they put Jay Leno on it, at least if they ran out of ideas for the week they could pull something out of his collection!

Did you catch the smoking brakes on the Rolls during the passenger drop-off?

I'm thinking this episode needed scratch and sniff cards to get the smell of $5000 "luxury" cars into the home of the viewer.
