Not complaining - but there has been a lot of discussion on Uber, so here is mine I guess.
Went to the big city on Friday. We parked downtown. Did some things, walked around, had lunch. Decided maybe take an Uber back to the car for a couple reasons, was only 6 blocks at that point - less than a mile. It was surge at that point - Uber was $19 for basic Uber X, 7 minutes away. I think the wait and save was about 20 minutes, sorry the pic got cut off. This was 12:48. It was a nothing day. The city was not busy.
Kept walking - now about 8 blocks away. 10 minutes later at 12:58 PM I checked again, now half price, but still 10 minutes away.
Again, not complaining. But if you don't like the Uber price, maybe wait a bit.
We ended up walking back to the car anyway.
