I haven't posted here in years, but, inspired by the work of 53 foot Stude and Brendan C, as well as everyone else, here's a filter. I've recently had some back and neck trouble, and the last time this car needed an oil change, I had a local shop do it. They used Race Team 5w30, and this Top Lube oil filter. Made in China, natch. They used to use Group 7, maybe these are cheaper? Car is a 2003 Hyundai Elantra that my Dad bought new, and has been faithful transportation for several members of the family. I took possession of it 10 years ago when my Dad passed.
I cut it open with a band saw, which is why you see sparkles, and scratches on the bottom of the filter itself. I have to say, I'm favorably impressed with the quality of a cheap filter like this. No glue slopped everywhere, no tears, reasonably flexible nitrile ADBV, coil spring.
