Tool needed to remove a fuel filter - '00 Grand Am

Tonight, I worked on changing a fuel filter on my niece's 2000 Grand Am.

However, I apparently need a special tool to release the plastic clip on the inlet end of the filter.

What does this tool look like?

Changing the filter on the '99 Park Avenue was a piece of cake compared to this... same exact part number on the filter too.

The clip that I could not get to release was a pale green c-shaped clip, that was inside a black plastic fitting.
