Help pick my brain as buy some tires here..for both of my cars.

04 Cav-195/70/14 Tires in the running so far:

Kelly Navs
BFG Traction t/A's
Kelly Explorers

06 Cobalt 5/60/15 So far:

Kelly GT's
Cooper Lifeliner GLS
FUzions HRi
Goodyear Eagle LS

I'm trying to keep under 600 bucks (since I'm getting both at the same time)

The better tires have to be on the Cav, since it is the current "family" car.

And the Balt is the "beater" car, so tires are not as a big issue...

Opinions needed! Thanks!

I've got Yokohama Avid Touring on my Civic and RX-7 and they have been good so far especially with all the rain and snow we have been getting.

I would give it a 4/5

For the Cav I would say the BF Goodrich Traction T/As, I have had experience with those and they have worked great for me. For the Cobalt I am not sure but I believe one of my parents old vehicles had Cooper Lifeliners on it and they seemed to work good, I never drove it much though.

The Lifeliner is an extremely high-mileage tire. It just ain't good on ice or snow though.

I got Hankook Optimos on my Focus and I really like them. Have you visited TireRack.com? Use the handy vehicle tire finder to get some ideas on what you should be paying.

I have General Altimax 195/70/14's on my wifes Accord. They are a nice tire at a decent price. I know they are not on your list but I would consider them if I were you.

I hear they are good...checked them on TR, but have yet to find them for a good price locally....

Yep, but I kinda of just want to get them done at the same time, and my wife's tire is not going to be ordered, so TR might be out, though there are better deals for the Balt on there...

The only good tire Kelly makes IMHO, is there Platniums.

Look online for reviews, compare there life warranty, and look at the company that makes them.

But some of those online "reviews" were pretty strange..reading some of them on TR made me laugh....

I'm a bit surprised that Kellys would not a decent tire, considering Goodyear makes those tires too...

Thats only my opinion.

I put and trust Kelly Platniums on my moms Merc.
My lincoln has cheap Mastercraft tires on it now. I bought it used with them on it. I am buying new wheels in the spring and am planning on putting on Pirelli PZero Neros.

I understand....I might be looking at Keely Nav gold, as I might be able to geta good deal on them...
