Tires for Suburban SLE

Looking for some new tires on my 1994 Suburban SLE. Pull a camper in the summer time and use it mainly when there is snow on the roads in the winter. Thinking about 245/75R16 E Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S from Tire Rack.com. Anyone every had these or any other recommendations for me lets hear it. Im leaning towards the E load rating just because of the camper pulling. Camper is about 6,000 lbs. without anything in it.

you might get a little bit quieter ride for a little bit less from BF Goodrich Commercial T/As (based on heavy truck tire - load shouldn't be an issue) but you might sacrifice a little winter weather traction for the longer treadlife/quieter ride.

I put 235/85R16 Load range E http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?...romCompare1=yes tires on my Suburban. They are very stout and I have never been stuck, and I am turning some of the best mpgs I ever had with them. They are wearing like iron as well.

Can't imagine why you need an E rated tire on a 1500 model.

That's a one ton truck tire!

If you stick with that size and rating the Michelin LTX MS2 is a 65-75k mile tire!

Yep, not a matter of need. I moved up from the Michelin LTX MS2 and got these as they were on sale. They are built way better, wear way better, have much better grip and get better fuel economy. Total win for me.

I do like the Duelers, except the price and if I had less miles and thought it was going to last another 5 years I think I would go for it. But Im not sure how much life I have left in it before its time to upgrade. But Im glad to hear someone has had success with the load E tire. The way I look at it is you might as well go overboard.
