Tires for a van not driven much?

I would keep an eye out for any Black Friday / Cyber Monday sales on anything that's you're size. Use of less than 5K a year is gonna dry rot anyway. I wouldn't spend a ton of money in this situation IMO.

Yea, the Chinesium isn’t much of a deal($70-80 on Amazon, SinpleTire) and Walmart was the winner on the Reliants but they’re a 30-40 minute drive away to get them installed.

I’m going with the Pirellis from America’s Tire a 5 minute drive down the street.

In that case, you're better off. Can't beat a 5 minute drive. You'll wind up burning whatever you save on fuel anyway. Good choice.
$478 OTD, no replacement certificates. I think I did well. Judging by the prices I’ve seen seen for Chinesium on Amazon/SimpleTire($80 for the Sailun SH408 - the LingLong brands were also $80, $70ish for the Dorals and $85 for the Armstrong Blu-TRAC PC), it was a no-brainer to buy the Pirellis. My guesstimate if I did go that route was $500-550 including tax, install and they’ll toss in an alignment which I assume is wash their hands clean if your tires wear out early.

Though, Pirelli is owned by ChemChina, they’re taking a laissez-faire approach with their European subsidiaries(Pirelli for tires, Syngenta Group for agrochem/GMO seeds).

Figures, Pirelli is owned by ChemChina. What doesn't China own nowadays ? Pretty much everything IMO. But they are manufactured globally. So, if you want , you can check the tires for the plant code, if origin is not stamped on it. Best of luck with them :)

whatever is cheap. lots of sales right now

with tbe caveat that whoever is driving knows not to push the tires if you are bad weather or curvy roads.

It’ll be my 70-somethings parents and me. They told me get a tire we won’t hear you complain about. The P4 and Reliant was on the shortlist, I was curious about the BFG Advantage Control myself but it was going to be close to $700 installed at Costco.

I think they’ll be happy with the Pirellis. I was pricing out the Chinesium on SimpleTire just to get a ballpark price and it just didn’t make sense.
