Tire Manufacturers and their sub-brands

Dunlop is now back in Sumitomo hands fully, FYI. Also, you forgot Omni United, maker of Radar tires. Some of Discount/America’s Tire Mohave brand are Omni, some are Qingdao Sentury who also owns Landsail. Sailun in Cambodia makes the Argus/Advanta/Zenna lines for American Pacific Industries.
Thanks for the additional info! I don’t have the ability to edit the first post for some reason at the moment, so as soon as that opens back up I’ll update it.

How about Armstrong?
Armstrong is produced by ZAFCO. Fun little fact; Armstrong was an American brand founded in 1912, then purchased by Pirelli in 1988. In 2012, ZAFCO acquired the brand and revived it as an independent entity. The good news is, is that the tires are produced in a state-of-the-art facility located in Bangkok, Thailand.

These used to be popular farm tires:

Kenda tires are made by Kenda Rubber Industrial Company which is a Taiwanese manufacturer. They’re their own show. 🙂
They have been in business since 1962 from what I was able to find out, I have only used their trailer tires but never had a problem with any of them, usually I replace them at 6-8 years, or whenever I start seeing a lot of cracks in the tread. If you want a good low price bias ply trailer tire they are one of the few companies that make them.

Appreciate the info!

Just an FYI:

Every year, Tire Business, a bi-monthly publication that specializes in news of interest for the tire industry, publishes various issues that outline certain aspects of the industry. Among those is a listing of all known tire brands and who owns them. They organize it by brand name, then tie it to an owner. The above thread is organized the opposite of how Tire Business organizes it.

I suppose I could publish the list on my website, but it takes a bit of work. Remembering that it is organized differently than above, is there any interest in my doing that?

If you can, that’d be great

Toyo / Nitto?
Either Japan, USA, or Serbia. From collective research, the Serbian made ones don’t have the truest carcasses (balancing issues). All LT sizes with Toyo however are made in Japan. The USA version of a P rated tire like an AT3, will have a more pronounced sidewall design versus the Japanese counterpart.
