Tire Manufacturers and their sub-brands

I want to say (without looking it up) that Cooper bought Hercules years ago, then Goodyear bought Cooper. Could be wrong.... Before I bought my car off of my sister, they had most of their maintenance done at a Goodyear tire and repair shop and they put Hercules tires on it. As I recall, the tires were even labeled something like "Hercules by Cooper".
Hercules was owned by a independent tire distributor - I forget there name, and they were made by Cooper.

Now if we can figure out who actually owns Cooper at this point - maybe we can infer where Hercules is getting tires from. :ROFLMAO:

They're owned by Goodyear now - Cooper, that is. Growing up, Cooper was very popular because they were literally a "local" company. I had a set of Cooper Cobras with the white lettering facing out ! 😂

Hercules is owned by a tire distributor, as you say. I see their trucks almost daily, making deliveries to area tire shops so they must have a warehouse/distribution center in the region (American Tire Distributors).

I checked several of their recent DOT codes on different models and they are made by Sailun out of their Vietnam factory.

Dunlop is now back in Sumitomo hands fully, FYI. Also, you forgot Omni United, maker of Radar tires. Some of Discount/America’s Tire Mohave brand are Omni, some are Qingdao Sentury who also owns Landsail. Sailun in Cambodia makes the Argus/Advanta/Zenna lines for American Pacific Industries.

How about
* Summit Tire - TBC Brands, Tire Alliance Group or TAG - Qingdao, China some model of tires are produced in Tennessee and Thailand

* Arroyo Tires - West Tire Distribution (WTD) - Thailand & China

* West Lake Tires - Hangzhou Zhongce Rubber Co., Ltd. ZC Rubber - China - ZC Rubber's portfolio includes other brands such as Goodride, Chaoyang, and Arisun

I tried a set of Arroyos on my old Jeep. So far pleased; wearing well, quiet ride. good traction.

I was telling a pal at work that I had a new Dunlop for my BSA bike. He said it was old news that my belly dun lopped over my belt.
