Tire questions - 2007 Accord

EDIT: 205-65-16
And they're a little skinny looking for their size but MAN, they felt like a larger tire. Gripped the road nicely, cornered well, tracked straight on the hiwy, gave the steering a slightly heavier feel(which I really liked) and went through water & snow with ease.

I want to know if anyone has any experiences with continental pro contact tx tires, they seem to give most of what I'm looking for and seem like they could be a very comfortable tire. If not does anyone have any recommendations for low treadwear tires that are h rated and how much of a difference does higher speed rating tires feel in terms of stifness. I'm trying to match as close as possible to the Aspen gt-as tires to hopefully get the same feel I had where they were extremely plush and comfortable tires, felt almost nothing over any bumps small or large, but still had great handling and felt very stable through corners and on the highway cruising. I also wanted to know if anyone could let me know if I was to go up in size to 215/60R16s how that would feel on a car like mine as it opens up a lot more options for tires.

Had the TX ( H-rated ) as 15" O.E.M. on the HYUNDAI Accent . I'd pass on them . Start at 9/32s' and wore quickly . Replaced with GENERAL Altimax RT43 ( H ) with better performance and wear .

Only experience I had with the Conti ProContact TX was on loaner Jeep Cherokee my father-in-law had. For me they were horrible in light snow. My kids tried it and said the same thing. YMMV, we are biased as we run full winter on rest of vehicles. He didn't complain much during the 9 months he had the loaner except when he also went out just after it snowed.

They were factory original also so may differ from the aftermarket versions.

I'm not too concerned about treadwear life as I'd rather replace a tire more often if it's going to be more comfortable, I wouldn't even mind if I had to replace tires every 30k miles. My focus is more the bump absorption being plush, not having to feel road imperfections through the steering wheel to where it's almost vibrating, a highway ride where it doesn't feel like the tires are wandering like the continental true contacts did. I did consider the general altimax rt45s since I can use continental's 60 day satisfaction trial to exchange them since they make general tires also. I have no idea what Aspen gt-as tires had in their construction that gave them the most comfortable ride, but I'm trying to identically match or come as close as possible to that.

Since you are obviously fixated on the cheap Aspen GT tires, why don't you just buy them online?

ASPEN GT 205/60-16
They're discontinued and the latest manufacturer date of the tires from what I found is 2019 which is a pretty old tire. I also can't really find a full set of them I can only find 1 maybe at most two of them and I don't know their condition. That's why I've been trying to find a modern solution, I'm also trying to see if something was possibly hidden by worn tires and a poor alignment that I couldn't feel before.

Give Simple Tire a call to see what the dates are on their stock of Aspen GT's. The website I linked above shows at least four 205/60-16 size tires in stock.

You are obviously trolling us here since I posted photo evidence that Simple Tire currently has at least four Aspen GT tires in size 205/60-15 (91H) available today.

I'm out of this thread.
That photo says a 15" wheel I have a 16" wheel. I have no reason to troll I'm genuinely trying to find a tire I would have never made the forum post if they were still made today. I would need 205/60r16 91h not 205/60r15 91h.

My apologies...I deleted the content of my previous post. Hope you can find a suitable tire. As stated earlier, you might like the Pirelli P4 A/S Persist Plus.

Used to own a 7th gen. Accord that got driven mile from 3 to mile 181,000.

By 130,000 miles most of the suspension was replaced...expect the struts, lol.

How much is the cratered roads around me, how much of that is Honda OEM....shrug.

We have a 2007 Accord with the same tire size. No issues with the PureContact LS. Make sure the suspension parts, especially the two bushings on the lower control arms, are in good condition.

We have a 2007 Accord EX-L V6 6 MT 4 dr sedan. I have used Michelin all season radials up until recently. In most of BC we are required to have snow tires for about 6 months of the year (they're not required in this immediate area but you can't go far before they are). I drive the car so little I couldn't justify having a set of winter wheels too so I bought a set of Michelin all weather radials which are considered snow tires for winter driving in BC.

What I have now is a set of Michelin CrossClimate2 with a 95V rating. I don't like them quite as well as my previous Michelin Premier A/S 215/50R17 which also had a 95V rating. But these tires are still too new to be definitive about it. There has not been any bouncy sensation with either set.

I have a 2005 accord lx and just put a set of General Altimax RT45 ( 205/65R15) on it. I have 1000 miles on them and it is a smooth ride on them especially in the rain.
