Hello to all at BITOG!!! I have a 90 Mustang GT w/ 145k miles. I have owned her since 93 with 3-4k mile oil changes. Hence my subject title, would you recommend Walmart SuperTech 10w30 or Advance Auto 10w30(dino's)? Or....? She is not driven hard these days,just a cruiser. She does not use oil between changes.Thank you all for your input!

I had a 1990 5.0 Mustang and sold it with the same mileage back in 99. I would just use the least expensive oil you could find (clearance sales, free Valvoline Maxlife rebate, etc).
I bought Havoline HM & Havoline Syn Blend for 49 cents last month at Advance Auto. Delo 15w40 is also on clearance at AAP. Since your car is just a cruiser and you don't race.....pretty much any decent low cost oil will do (Formula Shell, Walmart SuperTech, Citgo, Exxon Superflo, TropArtic).
Is your car 5 speed or Auto ? These cars live forever if you don't abuse them.

Pennzoil is $7.28/5qt jug at WalMart. Grab a motorcraft or supertech filter...can't beat a $10-11 oil change, with tax, nowadays!
Grab some Supertech before it goes up any more! The HM is up over $7 at my Walmart now. Good thing I stocked up. I don't really need any oil for the next 3 years or so....but I'm sure that won't stop me from buying any more.

If i wanted to run on an inexpensive oil i would have TropArtic and Exxon Superflo at the top of my list.

Trop Artic at Wal*Mart for $1.48 is a better choice. Even Citgo and Exxon Superflo are better choices.
get fomr free after rebate oil. anything api rated would be good enough. complement the free after rabate oil with a $2 supertech filter and youre oil changes just cost you less than a pack of smokes.
Five quarts Valvoline Maxlife is free after rebate for both conventional and synthetic formulars, valid until July 15.
I still say that when you can afford to drive with gas at 3 bucks how can you be possibly be worried about a 50 cent difference in oil. The 50 cent difference in oil amounts to .06 cents per mile while gas is costing you 14 cents

Still AL makes an excellent point. It cost me MORE THAN TWICE as much to fill the gas tank in the Odyssey than the bloody Amsoil oil change that I will feel 100% comfortable riding all the way to the end of OLM recommendation.

Hello. To LT4,mine is a 5 spd (3.08 gears)with subframe connectors, strut tower brace, lower k memeber brace, rear shock tower brace, rear end girdle, hurst shifter. adj clutch clable and a Centerforce Clutch. My goal has been to make it a better stock 'stang.
Actually, gas is $2.71 for 87 octane. I don't drive it everday. I have a 94 Ranger w/ a 2.3/5spd for that.

Use the SuperTech. It always shows execellent performance in used oil analyses.
I stocked up on Supertech when it was still .88 cents a quart. Have used it in one of my trucks and my wife's car. Have been very pleased with it.
Thanks for the input. I bought the 5 qt jug of Super Tech High Mileage 10W30 and a ST ST8 oil filter. It was nice to only spend $10 for an oil change.
Clement, I looked in the used oil analyses and only found a couple. Is there somewhere else that they are listed?
They are in there somewhere. The ones I've seen always showed good used oil analysis.
