Since my new Chrysler 300 is flex fuel I've decided I'm going to run nothing but E-85 in it, despite the hit in MPG I know I'm going to take. First fill earlier this week was E-85 and it runs a lot smoother on it than whatever the dealer/factory had in there.
As for oil, I think I'll use 5w30 NextGen. It meets GF-5 and I have no issues with creating usable base stocks from old motor oil.* So, between using E-85 and NextGen, I'll be doing what I can to tell OPEC to take a hike.
*I would like to know if the refining and hydrofinishing they do on the recycled oil yields Group II base stock. I'm surprised no one asked that question in the NextGen Q&A session.
