Three way switch question

Continuity should be between the common post and one of the traveler posts at one position. Flip the switch and continuity should be between the other traveler and common.

Common would be the load/line terminal.

I performed a test on the switch. The switch that I had pulled off the disconnect on the hot side was the one that was broken. I found no continuity across the switch when it was in one of the two positions. Perhaps is my fault for how I broke the connector or perhaps it is a dud switch, I don't know.

But I'll replace it and everything should be fine then.
