The Lonesome Cow
I was driving through the Arizona Strip some years back and saw this solitary cow alongside the road. I somehow felt sorry for the creature ... not much food, no other bovines to pal around with, out there all by her lonesome ...

Shel,

Years ago I read an article that said the grass in Arizona is some the very best grass for cattle to feed on. Who would have guessed that? Maybe the hardiness of the Arizona grass makes "good eating" for cattle.

I don't know if this is the reason for the Arizona grass being better, but when we have a dry summer here the wheat crop yields are down but the wheat sells for more per bushel because of its higher protein content.

It’s a Philly thing. Those two red cardboard boxes to the left of the BP sign, are used by a bakery to deliver bread daily. I’ve always wondered how they could be on the ground or near trash. It’s all over Phila not an isolated case

Not sure I understand waiting in a Starbucks drive through line. I pulled in right behind the red mini van, parked in a lot outside of Starbucks not to get stuck in the Starbucks parking lot. Went in, order my coffee. This is my drink as I exited Starbucks. Guess we all value time differently .

On a sadder note, this Glendale AZ Starbucks is full of mature people that look like they have not much to do. That may match for them..I also plan to hang at a coffee shop when I retire, but I will have a mission every day.
