Thread for photos that 100% do not violate any Terms Of Service, not political, not too lewd, no gas price pics etc.

I still remember being in elementary school and being told “you’re not going to have a calculator with you at all times!” 🤣

Edit: Also, people look at me like I’m insane when I consult with Siri on my phone to compare per-unit prices at the store. Some stores products compare different units ($/L vs $/100 count) and I’ve found that some are just plain wrong. This product costs the same per # as the one next, but one of them is heavier. /edit

I forgot to mention that back in middle school our business teacher guarded the electric typewriters like they were made of gold. She said we had to be older to be responsible enough to use that tech.

They we’re all soon replaced with PCs.

I was also told when I was a wee lad that my cursive needed to be perfect, because professors in college would require all of my papers to be written in cursive.

Thats pretty high. You mean severe service for the air filter, right? Have you ever pulled one and seen any heat damage?
I meant that at idle there is a lot of heat soak going on. (All around the engine, my comment wasn't just about the air filter.) If intake temps are higher, then to me it makes sense that temps everywhere are higher. Lack of airflow while idling, as compared to driving. With temps everywhere being higher, oil is likely taking a beating too. In areas like ringlands, or bearings for example. The owner's manual for that 2009 Hyundai Accent recommends different service intervals if my driving meets any of the following "SEVERE DRIVING CONDITIONS". For example normal OCI is 7,500 miles, but under severe driving conditions that OCI is 3,000. Owner's manual also highlights that spark plugs and timing belt need to be replaced more frequently if driving conditions meet criteria "B" (and a few others) from the list below.

The oil is fine. In both of my Subies, one of which has no oil cooler, the oil temps are low at idle. The highest temps are always on the highway.

Tether car racing track.
That is it. There are not many of these in existence. I saw a track in use once as a young teen. The track I saw was in a park just out in the open with zero safety features inside a chain link fenced area. Did some reading about them recently and found out there are still folks who race them. Some have been clocked at over 150mph. Sounds like most activity with tether cars today is in Cal or NY. A bit in the midwest. Just found this video about the cars + racing them.

I'm cutting this open later. There's another one on there now.. looks like Ford got its driveability issue licked (new fuel filter, mmm-kay.)

Here is what is before that K&N.

Quite the stream of consciousness. Not sure why you would stockpile so many low cost filters that are pretty readily available. How often are you changing oil on that car?!?
