Let's not be too snarky about it.

Microguard filter and Supertech oil.

Definitely my favorite entry level filter. I am running 2 of them now actually. They are also equal to the Napa Silver filters too FWIW. (but if your store is like mine, they don't stock them and have to be ordered.

Is this a joke?

Not a joke but not deadly series either - if their oil filters are anything like their air filters you won't notice much over the short term but wear and failure will happen sooner. Depends if you're keeping the car or getting a new one soonish.

They carry quite a premium to cover their marketing, so in my eyes I could get the same filter cheaper without the branding, or a better filter for the same cost. Filters for my car cost less and filter better than K&N and are made by the OEM.

I have 4 4X4 vehicles and one ranger....I keep them for ever..I do all fluids when due...Oil every 3K...I know it it too often, but it keeps me busy and out of Bars
I'm going back to Honda,Toyota and Ford filters.....Thanks You Guys

There are better filters on the market for less money. Why go with K&N?

I kind of liked the thicker metal enclosure. You guys talked me out of k&n and I put a Napa gold on yesterday and I could feel it flexing in my hand.
