Those with 150,000 miles or more, check in

I’m glad you guys have had good luck with your Subarus. Mine is a pre-detonating pile of bolts.
That's funny, same with my 14' outback on the right rear bearing right around 150k! Changed both while I was down there, other than that my list is pretty much the same as yours! Rock on subarus!

Pings, has already needed a blower motor, burns 1qt every 5,000 miles, needs a passenger side front cv axle, the air conditioning sucks, and gas mileage has steadily declined in the past 3 months or so. I’m only at 58,000 miles.

This thing will be carvana’s problem soon.

The A/C has been an issue with my parents 2018 Impreza. I think there was an A/C recall for certain year Subarus. Something to the effect of the dessicant system or compressor.

I just turned over 156,000 on my Cavalier. It needs the fuel injectors replaced again due to the design having a penchant for leaking.
Are the injectors sticking open? Run quart of any Atf in the tank and it will free them up.

No I sent out a second used set to the Fuel Injector Connection in Georgia. He spent a week trying to balance them with no luck. He sold me a new oem in the box set for $127 each vs the $280 each regular price. The bottom feeder design that GM only used for a few years allows the internal spring to rust. Not sure atf would fix this.

2011 GMC 2500, new in May, 2012. Just turned 243,000 kms which is 150k in the old money.
Someone stole the cat and DPF, so I left it off and ran a Bully Dog GT, Banks cold air intake and manifolds. The fuel economy improved 20% and the oil stays clean instead of turning black the next day.
The only repair was a TCM, transmission control module. The new and improved version improved the fuel economy another 4%.
Winter tires tomorrow. Studded 295/55r20 Nitto EXOs on Fuel Carousel 20x10 minus 18mm offset. Heavy setup @ 130 lbs each.
Edit; Add front brakes, calipers and hubs.

I posted this in another thread but I’ll add it here too. My son recently hit 400,000 km in his 2002 WRX! Still on the original engine, turbo and transmission too. One head gasket around 220,000 km (he bought it 8 years ago at 236,000 km) At first he was using Brotella but I convinced him to switch to Castrol 5w-40 and that’s what he mostly uses but once in a while he’ll grab Pennzoil 5w-40. He is pulling the engine over the winter and has big plans for it, looking to make 400 horsepower, he is even considering dropping an Evo engine in it just to be different 😃

I’ll give you $1500 for it 😂

Just kidding, sorry you’ve had a bad experience. Seems pretty unusual IMO, maybe your car was made on the day of a Purdue home game? Or even worse, the day after…

Carvana says 16,000 lol.

Seriously. It’s always pinged on 87 and my whole reason for buying the thing was because fuel wasn’t supposed to cost as much as my 350, 454, or idi diesel.

it won’t ping at all on 93 though.

What has dealer said about the issue? I’d drive it hard enough to either set a CEL or blow it up while it’s under warranty…
