Hi All, I'm thinking of purchasing a 2008-2010 range Toyota Tundra pickup in the Phoenix Arizona area. Can anyone recommend a good mechanic in the area to inspect the vehicle for me? Thanks.

Calling Nick or dishdude..

Be sure to get good pics of the paint on the hood and roof so you know what you're getting. That's old enough to have Az sunburn.
I service an '08 exactly like that. It's actually a very nice truck but flaking hood paint and clouded headlamps make it look like a total POS

I did a half a** polish on the lamps and hit 'em with some clearcoat and it got better - not great but better. Was helping a guy from our church at no charge which is why I didn't put more effort into it.

@slug_bug Ready for SAIS? If you can, try to find one that had the SAIS replaced with OEM parts, or bypassed with Hewitt-Tech gen2 kit. These are the only two solutions to SAIS in these trucks. Aftermarket parts fail within a couple months. OEM parts last 100k-180k miles, but cost $4k-$5k. Bypass kit is $1k all in and very effective.
