This guy is pretty credible in the industry. I highly doubt he is knowingly spreading falsehoods. Just because you appear to be having some difficulty trying to prove him wrong, doesn't necessarily mean he's lying.
On this forum don't you know you can't trust people who actually work in the oil industry, formulate oil, analyzes oil, etc, you can only trust the members of this forum nobody else. But hey they will praise him for liking HPL though but outside of that nope.
Indeed he is, and many people like yourself take everything he says as gospel, hence the need to fact check. It’s not just me. No one on this forum or AI comes up with anything about oil drain intervals and CAFE. Feel free to prove us all wrong. This matters, because just like video segment, people say the longer oil drain intervals are the result of governmental pressure via CAFE. They are not.

Ask him what? Why he said something that isn’t true? I think that is something you should do and report back. I have done all the footwork to prove long oil drain intervals are not related to CAFE. I am satisfied that the truth is out there. Lake seems like a nice guy. I have spoken with him. I think he may have gotten caught up in the moment and told a white lie or repeated something he heard. I don’t need justification from him. And I don’t suddenly discount everything he says either. In fact, in my circles we use SPEEDiagnostix for UOA’s. I just like to fact check important things. But people very well could have been persuaded that it’s a governmental conspiracy, so change your oil every 3k, like daddy used to. As far as CAFE is concerned, it is not.

I have done far more than you have. I have spent hours researching. You just post your thoughts. Come back with facts. The fact is there is nothing in CAFE about oil drain intervals and manufacturer credits. Tell you what, I’ll make a $100 donation to this site in your name if you prove me wrong. How about that? You just post a snippet directly from CAFE, along with a link. If you are successful, then it would be worth the money to actually get to the bottom of this. I don’t mind be proven wrong. I just wholeheartedly don’t believe I am.
