Many people commute in to the Valley. Housing is stupid expensive, both to buy or rent.
I believe the Livewire One was the one they used. Prices have really come down. I would have trouble hanging on to one at my age. With that exceleration one would use up that charge very quickly.@loneryder
Here is Harley Davidson lineup of electric motorcycles. I never saw one, but I see prices seem reasonable for Harley however that may be interpreted as reasonable. I don’t know.

The Livewire One acceleration rate 0-60 is in the ballpark for pretty much every 750cc class or higher Sportbike or Naked bike, then the acceleration rate really tapers off. I got a chance to ride one after the V&H factory riders rode them. It was okay, but I didn't see one in my immediate future. Five years later my opinion hasn't changed. I got the opportunity because I know the V&H teams, and they knew I rode. Harley was proud of claiming the bottom of the battery pack was styled after the Superchargers used on the Fuel cars. I tried not to laugh...
More interesting to me was the Electric Sportbike another friend rode and was helping develop for Brammo, 10+ years ago. Not a lot of news on that front these days.
I wonder that myself, but they have a full line of them.

He made lots of claims about his Turbine powered bike. Said it would leave any bike in the dust, and challenged someone to step up to try and beat his bike. A friend I used to help run his bikes on the Salt Flats stepped up, and said he'd run against Ted anytime, anywhere. Ted never would agree to a comparison...
This is the bike my friend offered to run against him. A Turbo Hayabusa making 615 rwhp as it sat. It held the record in it's class (1350 MPS BF) on the Salt Flats for a two-run average at over 246 mph, for about ten years. It was geared for 290 mph, and had the power to pull it on a surface with better traction than the Salt offered. On the Salt once the bike got up to around 250 mph, there was so much aero drag, that you'd get the rear tire spinning about 40 mph faster than the bike was going. Do that for too long, and you'll overheat, blister, and blow the tire.
The jet powered bike is neat, it's just not the fastest bike out there.
The issue with HD is that they've had a few CEOs over the last handful of years and each one wanted a different path. I was hoping HD would double down with Buell and go moto gp racing.

Yep. with a good rider. A 1999 Hayabusa with a skilled Magazine journalist did 2.4 seconds 0-60. There are plenty of bikes in the last 26 years which can run 0-60 mph in 3 seconds or less, with a skilled rider.

Ready? TRUE STORY, before moving south almost 20 years ago. What got me interested with motorcycles was at a Harley dealer on Long Island NY, when we knew we were going to move. I was there with my wife and young daughter.
I LOVED what ever model it was. Buells largest sport/touring bike in the showroom (XBR12 maybe?). IT was a joke that we would buy one once down south. My daughter would sit on the back of the bike with me in the showroom. They were really cool about sitting on the bikes. We went back a number of times to that same bike. I loved it...
Once down south ... finally a year two or so later. Back at the Harley dealer this time in the south. No Buells
I agree on the CEOs At one point and not to long ago the original family tree so to speak (real motorcycle people) offered to take Harley private but it was turned down. The feeling was it became too corporate.
I do think dropping Buell was a mistake but what do I know except I LOVED everything about the bike. Wish I knew exactly what model, if the XRB12 was the largest then that was the one. But I think configured more sport tourer, if I remember correctly there were two options or one model option with options added on.
AS far as Harley, well, I feel the big guy in any industry gets bashed. They always struggled with changing demographics. From "Easy Rider" days and Woodstock to now Poptart throwaway bikes. Big tourers are fading away I think, simply because youth are into daytime quick fun vs true multiday cruising or any long distant cruising. Also the fact that companies need expensive machines to bring money in in order to survive as a company. I do wonder at times about Harley only because let's face it, they need expensive bikes when bikes are your only product in order to survive.

JP Morgan is late to the party as if anyone doesnt know this, they should not be investing in individual stocks. I cant wait to see the quarterly report. Im not looking for it to get trashed, Im just looking for it to be properly valued. If I could figure out the wild swings I would be tempted to trade it on a weekly or daily basis but it scares the heck out of me and I truly would feel safer in bitcoin.
Maybe (except for speculators) the value of the stock should be in the $60 to $75 range. May never go that low because of no other reason than this is a speculation stock. An example is Bitcoin speculation with no base except demand.
The company is a train wreck and has been a train wreck since inception except for the early 2000's however as an investor, depending on what side you were on and if and when you bought and sold you did very well or lost everything. The company has not come close to living up to stated growth goals and profits for almost 2 years now.
Proof? The stock has gone no/where in the last 3 years. Actually it is down $100 a share since 3/2022 but can still pull up even in the remaining weeks. Yet still, the market in (nasdaq 100, heck composite too) the last 3 years is up 28ish percent even after this down trend. So lets see, 3 years of Tesla and your down 30ish percent, 3 years of nasdaq index and your up 28ish percent.
They need products that people will want to flock to and buy. 4 door looking sedans do not cut it among mainstream America is what I think. Unlike people in forms, they do not care if a car shaves a few seconds off acceleration. They want a true SUV type vehicle. Tesla needs one and properly priced.
For clarity I wouldnt invest in Tesla even if it was $60 a share under the current conditions with no forward guidance from the company.
I consider $60 speculation in that the company will pull out of one of the worst rapid sales downfalls of any automobile company in history (?). I suspect they may have a plan to pull out of it, I just don't know what it is.

I cant remember a time in my life that I based a purchase on the perception of what the CEO is like or if I would like him/her or not.
That would make no sense, because if it was true everyone should buy a GM and shop at Walmart.
I dont know much about Mary's story at GM except she is a straight shooter.
Who can knock the CEO of Walmart when he started out working there part time at the age of 16 unloading trucks in the summer.
His father was a dentist who served in Vietnam.

I would think there are way more Musk supporters in the USA but the public perception by paid actors and with marketing by big money to the contrary. Yes, the public fooled, nothing new since man walked on earth.

The ceo of Walmart and the Walton family are as frugal as all get out from reading. On corporate jet flights they got water or coffee food and additional beverages came out of the pockets of people flying. No frills.
