The Tesla Strategy

The difference with a wildly high stock who P/E ratio hit 150. As of right now still near 128
VS
GM a Company with profits and an P/E ratio of less than 8

Will Tesla one day be near the industry average or maybe a P/E of 10? I dont know but it can go a long way down to get there... but maybe not, choose your poison. I wouldnt own either except short term trades that I sometimes do with GM.

Granted right now GM looks like a knight in shining armor but I wouldnt play, then again, maybe after 40 years it may one day take off?

Its a lie to oneself to think there is any such thing as a domestic automaker today. Check in again April 2nd.

Did I say anything about domestic? But even so GM is an American car company as well as Tesla. Is there something to add there? Just asking

I thought this was about car sales in the USA. Unless we are not understanding each other but I dont see how.

Here is Tesla's last three years

What happened to the Tesla 18 wheeler truck ?
Only a few have been delivered. Alot of it has to due with the proprietary "mega charger". Imagine if Volvo or Peterbilt came out with a revolutionary new diesel engine but it needed proprietary diesel fuel.
Weirdly enough Tesla had the jump on several manufacturers, yet seems to have delivery issues. I've seen two electric volvo semis and an electric Freightliner in person but no Tesla semi, yet Tesla had I think a two to three year jump on both Volvo and Freightliner. For a company as big as Tesla that ONLY makes electric vehicles it's suprising that there aren't more on the road.

Elon down $12B so far today and X suffers major shortage.
What's a poor boy to do?
Laughable hit piece article. "Nearly 40,000 users reported problems with the platform around 10 a.m. ET, and about 28,000 people were experiencing issues as of 11:30 ET."

so 40,000 out of 500M users - ie rounding error - were out for a bit - is newsworthy? Who cares. My corporate email didn't work the other day also. I didn't notice until IT sent an email to everyone saying it was fixed.

X has 500 million active monthly users and is the fastest growing social media platform, especially with the coveted 25 to 55 age group. The rest of the media is upset because its successful. Most of the adertisers who said they were going to boycott are coming back, including the worlds largest company - Apple. Why I never go to that particularly biased legacy news station.

Well said and thank you
The media contols the thought processes of the masses. I find it scary. We have become so lazy we lost the desire or ability to think and exam what is presented to us.

I'm looking at a Tesla model S myself. I need to sell off a few cars because room is limited. No the standard S has more hp than I need.

If I was going to buy a tesla, it would be a regular S, 650 ish hp is more than I need, and it has a longer range than the plaid.

That's the conclusion I came to as well and less tire replacements .
200 miles on a 15 minute free charge too.
