The Official BITOG Cheapskate Thread

Don't forget all the Buy 1, Get 1 Free deals that you can stock up on. Plus if you use coupons with these B1G1F deals.... its like saving 60-70% off regular price. I do this all the time at Publix.

BTW, Walmart will 'price match' any sale ad from another grocery store, even the Buy 1 Get 1 Free deals.

Mori stop bringing forward rational data...what are you thinking!?!?!

buy food at one fast food place and go to sonic during happy hour to get half priced drink.... I get the food first so they don't see the big sonic cup sitting there

Time to resurrect this thread.

I scour the freebies section of slickdeals on a regular basis.

Not everything in there interests me, but I did get a Gates belt wear measuring tool for free, but I don't remember if I saw the listing for that on slickdeals or here.

The muffler fell of Mr. Benny's Maxwell. Last week I showed up at AAP with a 5 year old muffler off my 77 LUV and the receipt. They are lucky I lost the last 2 receipts.

LOL I got a free muffler out of NAPA but had to buy a clamp. A $27 liftime warranty tie rod end from another store, with 6 yr and 65k miles wore out and got upgraded to a free $61 MOOG.

And Labman aren't you the one who "rebuilds" muffler clamps out of threaded rod?

Yes, but it may not be cost effective. I start with plain rod and thread it. Takes maybe 10 minutes. But at least I am nit trying to sort out 13 mm, half inch, 9/16'', etc.

I just bought an Antec Neo Eco 400W Power supply from Newegg.com for $35 with free shipping, about 3 weeks ago. Normally it is $65 with $8 shipping. Also bought a pair of Sennheiser headphones from there for $23 free shipping. Normally $39 and like $6 shipping.

What I need is a Windows 7 full version and license. I'm still using the Release Candidate- it expires on the 1st of March.
