No. With every redesign, engines are getting more complex. I really do expect to see all these features being ubiquitous in 10-15 years. At some point, the ICE will become too complex to affordably maintain and repair. At that point, pure electric cars and fuel cell cars will be simpler.

I can see how that could make a big improvement in combustion efficiency, especially if done in conduction with compression ignition. Perhaps it would even make the engine simpler, instead of more complex.
Engines with "lifetime" oil or engines that require
Tiny displacement engines in different vehicle categories <1.0L in sub and compacts, <1.7L in midsize, fullsize sedans, CUV's, and compact pickups, <2.5L in fullize pickups and base engine heavy duty trucks.

I agree with this, new battery designs come out every few years that make the previous generations of batteries look like they run on coal.
A less exciting, more civillian electric car than the insanely fast Teslas would use and need a lot less power and could even efficiently be charged through solar power at your own house
Tesla should make a small, affordable electric compact/hatchback with a solar panel roof. Make it perform more like a gasoline hatchback instead of a Ferrari and it could have a great range and not use much power to charge

I don't know if Tesla will survived as independent car company by 2025-2030, they may be bought out by other car company.
By 2030 most work places, shopping centers, hotels, restaurants ... will have quick-chargers, they may be free to use or they may charge a nominal fee.
Honestly.....today's engines are still using tech from the first of the 20th century. Direct fuel injection is as old as a certain carpenter with a pet Dodo bird. Turbo and supercharging, same story. Only thing I see '30 model cars having different from '15 model cars are electric solenoid controlled valves and perhaps ceramic castings like blocks and heads. Oil, maybe a lifetime fill or 20K OCI's with full "synthetic". Big oil is too big and powerful for electric cars to dominate the field, and that isn't an opinion. Why have lifetime fills when they can sell motor oil and gasoline and diesel? I'd be pushing to keep electric car growth stunted if I headed Shell or XOM.
Engines are fast approaching zero lifetime maintenance. It's going to happen and happen soon. The newer generation of upcoming drivers will not be burdened with things like looking under the hood or being left to decide when to do periodic maintenance. Drivers will be notified by the vehicle for required service and be directed to a licensed facility.
Gone forever are the days when drivers were advised to remove the cylinder head every 1,000 miles to remove carbon and change their oil every 200 miles and to be careful to choose a light, clear oil that flowed through the paper funnel viscometer at the correct rate and never leave water in the radiator overnight in cold weather.
