Looks like it is quite an interesting engine. I'm thinking I will be in the market for a 3-Row vehicle pretty soon so I'm interested to see how it performs in the Grand Cherokee L.

Max Torque: 332ft-lbs
Estimate Grand Cherokee MPG: 21/23/27

Some listed Features
- Variable Geometry Turbo
- Turbulent Jet Injection in addition to 1 regular spark plug in the combustion chamber.
- Port and Direct fuel inject
- Electric water pump
- Block design appears to be an open deck design. But with the thickness of the cylinder walls it is probably closer to a closed deck than an open deck block.

Power density is 26% higher than the Hellcat Redeye V8 at 126hp/L.

I have a feeling the engine itself will be fine. It’s all the ancillary components that might let it down.

Peak torque at 2600 RPM is relatively high. Many modern turbo engines do peak starting at 1500-2000 RPM albeit less.

I think those are auxiliary to keep the turbo cool correct?

For actual primary cooling pump, Prius has had electric water pump since day 1. Camry since 2018. Rav4 since 2019. The one on my Rav4 even looks very easy to replace, which is a bonus if it ever needs to be.

Something that bolts onto the engine will invariably blow up. Or there will be a manufacturing defect and the rod bearings will eat themselves. It's always something.

That's just the peak. From the chart it looks like 80 percent is on tap at just over 2,000 RPM, courtesy of that VGT. It's all about area under the curve.

From what I have read specs are impressive. I guess the implementation is everything. Sound like problems are an issue. So no cast iron sleeves?

I don't understand why there is a spark plug in the main chamber too if the spark plug in the pre chamber ignites that fuel-air mixture which jets into the main chamber to ignite that main mixture.

Yawn, they should have just saved the billions in R&D and bought BMW B48TU3 engines.

I would imagine it just helps with combustion stability and NVH at idle and low-med loads. It looks like they only use the pre-combustion chamber spark plug at high loads.
