The day after tomorrow, it really is science fiction. This post was deleted while trying to delete a double response. I apologize for the error. Vintage senility has really moved in on me.

MolaKule, my apology.

My son saw the movie said the story was OK, the specical effect were really, really good, and the science was crappy.

He is concerned that a popular movie with such obviously silly science will make too many people think that ALL information about global is a bunch of hogwash.

Here's a link that I just ran across from Weather Underground that can help separate science fiction from science fact. The Day After Tomorrow™: Could it really happen?

I was going to check out this tread to see what had been posted already, but I see it's vanished into a cyber black hole.
Sorry if you've all seen this link already.

Like I said before, people should not point to that movie as an example of the environmentalist movement. Any news stories related to that movie are simple prootion. Look at how many astroid collision stories we had to sit through when thos two astroid hitting the earth movies came out a few years ago.

Yup.
And that's basically what the article I linked to said. But the article also has some REAL science about climates and how they work.
