The car photographed very well. It was junk in person, rusty rock chips everywhere, had obviously been in an accident, sounded like the alternator bearings were bad, paint was faded.

This will be the last time I drive that far for a car. Was 120 miles away.

I hope you find what you're looking for. I was in a similar situation a few years ago and I needed a commuter car for my 100 mile commute.

You may want to check out a Scion xA, xB (first gen), an ECHO, or a Yaris.

They are all made 100% in Japan with all DENSO components, and have the 1NZFE motor (ultra reliable and no timing belts)

These cars are so inexpensive to own and maintain. Somehow I get great pleasure from driving it.

No offense but sounds like a typical craigslist car for asking $2800. It runs and has four doors what that buyer set is happy to get.
