The Cooper Evolution Sport seems like a good deal for those who can use summer tires

Information on this site says that the Cooper Evolution Sport seems to be primarily made for the Mexican market. Because of that, they are probably made in Mexico.

It is available on some US sites including Simple Tire and Priority Tire. I came across it after someone else on here was looking for tire recommendations.

Though it is marketed as a summer tire, pictures of the tire show M+S on the sidewall. While I am aware that M+S is just a geometric definition of the tread that it probably meets, there is no real siping on it, which is to be expected on summer tires. Mexico doesn't have to deal with winter

UTQG is 400-A-A

It comes in 9 sizes for 16 and 17" wheels.

They look like a captive private label tire, like what would be sold exclusively at walmart for example.

I honestly would not be surprised to find out they're a value tire, but being made by Cooper, probably aren't terrible.

UHP and treadwear of 400 don't really go hand in hand.

BF Goodrich G-force Sport comp 2 are summer tires with enough voids to be labeled as M+S

What if someone drove on those in snow? Some states out west have restrictions at times when all-season tires are required, and M+S meets the legal criteria for those laws. :cautious:

And why would a tire mfr want to put the M+S label on summer tires?
