Texaco gas stations in MD

Lately it seems like all the Texaco gas stations near me are switching over to other vendors. I've seen them switching to Gulf (who I thought went by the way side yeaers ago) and switching over to Shell.

Anyone know the reasons for this?

They did the same thing up here a while ago.I think they are only going to be down south now.

Lots of gulf has showed up here over the last few years. Texaco as a brand name is being retired, with just havoline remaining as a product line under chevron. This isnt a big deal in the states, but it IS a big deal in the Caribbean and SA.

The Texaco stations in my area have long since closed or become Chevron. Chevron merged with Texaco several years ago - 2001 according to Wikipedia.
