nice, I picked up a toro this week too. my first ever snow thrower, my shoveling days are over
I've got that model. One heck of a snowblower.
5HP model?
Power Max 6000 - 141cc 2-cycle R-Tek engine. Toro does not list HP but I think it is either 6 or 8. It cuts a 26" path and has no problem with wet heavy snow. We got almost 10" of the wet heavy stuff on Saturday and I had it cleared off in no time.
Do your neighbors have those 'usual' small Toro's? I was amazed at how many folks bought that one model. You know the one, about 3HP, and only good for about 4 inches of light snow...
We have a few of those around. I have a model 722 Ariens for the smaller jobs of around 6" of power snow. Works great, but for the wet heavy stuff I bring out the Power Max.
