Took the 2016 Waverunner V1 Sport out to the Cape Fear River today for a quick test. I've ridden it in a lake and the ocean but wanted to take it out for a bit this afternoon. The Taos tows this thing without issue, even on a longer 2 hour drive in 93+ weather, the oil temp stayed well within safe temps. With a full tank of fuel the weight of the pwc+trailer is somewhere in the 1000-1100lb range.

I would have thought 223 was hot for the oil, but only guessing that based on coolant temperatures.

For reference without towing but in similar conditions oil temp hovers between 210-220 typically.

Nice rig, looks like fun. Not sure where you were on the river but I would not stick my toe in the Cape Fear with all the hog farm lagoons, hog processing plants and farm runoff leeching into the river.

Oh don't worry, I avoided getting into it more than necessary to get it on and off the trailer. I have been going to White Lake, Jordan Lake, or Wilmington for actual riding, this was just checking out a few things on the river. (Like the wreck of Patrol Craft 1084)
