Tesla Q2 Deliveries crushes estimates

So, if Tesla sells 20k units lower then expected, is that missing number, or is Tesla crushed?
Yes, in fact they do. Tesla is held to lofty financial goals and delivery results. Compare their numbers to any other car maker.
Margins go from nearly 20% down to numbers better than any other major car company and the analysts call it a failure.

Look at the chart I posted. Some of those quarters have been called a huge miss.

Some people understand buisness results and others don't. Can you read a Balance Sheet and Income Statement? Do you understand the importance of cash flow? Margin Analysis?
Results matter. Numbers matter more than "I think", "they will", "wait for", etc. When all you got is "LOL" I'm not sure you understand business.
Tesla is more valuable than the next 10+ auto companies in the world, combined. And is in rapid growth mode. Do you understand the leverage that offers?
You may not care; that's fine. Perhaps you would rather cede this business to China? Tesla is a great American company.
Cede it to China? Musk with Tesla is so far up the Chicoms backside it isn't even funny. The man is close to being an anti American at best. With statements like this it cannot be denied.

Musk backed the view, saying Tesla was against the notion of “decoupling” with China.

“The interests of the United States and China are intertwined like conjoined twins,” he was quoted as saying by the foreign ministry. Musk was later also quoted by China’s commerce ministry as saying relations between the two countries were not a zero-sum game — where for one side to win, the other must lose.
China is an enemy and a bad actor, we must at all cost decouple the US economy from this communist state.

The media loves to use words that over exaggerate the results. They could have said beat the estimates but no, they prefer to use words like crush, obliterate, annihilate and so on.

Also, consider the source.
Certainly these words sell media. But how many car companies pretty consistantly beat the high end of the market estimates? And are punished when they don't? They barely make a ripple.
Results vs other car companies. Again, Tesla's market cap dwarfs the industry. Is that not impressive?

Ridiculous. China is the biggest car market in the world. Everyonde does business in China. My point is, without Tesla, China will own the EV market and that market is growing rapidly. So quit twisting my words around.

Read your own links. My Tesla was made in Fremont, CA in the ex GM, ex NUMMI plant that now has more than 20K workers and is the most productive car plant in the US.

LOL, when you don't pay bills, margins are huge.

In order to operate in China, especially now and future, he will have to bend over even further. The whole problem over the Twiteer acquisition is the Chinese are pushing him, knowing he cannot afford bad relations with CCP.
The average analyst won't talk about this bcs. really not capable of understanding.

You were expecting what ?

Who'd have thought tesla owners would talk about tesla in an electric car forum??

Guys that come here and whine about that are hilarious, like dealing with the French with the tears and smoking..
This is I've always recognized and I wonder if the anti EV guys just don't have anything better to do than poke at EV owners because they either think it's funny or they're bitter about something. I thought about joining a Ford forum to complain about Fords and tell them I'm going to buy a Chevy because Fords suck. That'll show em...

Nah, it is not EV; it is servitude.

Nah, these constant posts are not anymore borderline cult, they are cult.
When reality is much more complicated.
Oh you mean this thread. I thought you were referring to what I said. I can assure you I'm not part of this supposed cult and if you think otherwise, pass the grass, it must be some good ****. 😂

Not twisting your words, stop trying to change the facts. Musk said this, you cant change that.

Human nature is to resist change, generally based in fear or lack of understanding. The problem is, in business and in nature, you grow or you go. Every product, every company, has a life cycle.
The reason some people succeed beyond anyone's expectations is, they think differently and act differently. Most of the time this results in failure, but sometimes you just might change the world.

Look at Apple. The little company in Cupertino brought the Silicon Valley (and then beyond) the Apple II. By the 90's, common thought was their use and time had passed; the PC based architecture was fueling business and business had the money to buy computers. Desktops were in accountnt's cubes first then they were everywhere. The Macintosh was used for documentation, running Word. Then Windows and MS Office took over. Engineers were running massive hardware and CAD software. Apple was done.

This past week Apple became the 1st $1T company.
Let the naysayers naysay. In Silicon Valley we take risk and embrace change. The results speak for themselves.

I thought we established looooong time ago that EVs are here to stay and the only possible replacement to ICE?

This is not about that.

The guy is literally delivering Twitter data to CCP in order to be able to sell cars.

The pentagon awarded him a contract for star link terminals in Ukraine, seems like he's an equal opportunity offender.

Johnson and Johnson recently bought a client of mine, then they started holding payment to me when they simply decide they dont like my terms anymore.

Sounds like what Musk does.

Do you actually know the story behind the Pentagon deal? The ease with which Elon pursues his followers into something is actually disturbing.

Many companies try that, never said they did not.
