The problem is if IIRC Tesla is using laminated glass for front door glass. It seems the rear door glass is still tempered so the tool would work on those. Telling grandma to go breaking windows until she find one that shatters is a bit much though.
 
When you have powerful hydraulic tools, now increasingly battery electric, you wouldn't mess with a Halligan.
That was obsolete when I ran thirty years ago for forcing entry through car doors.
I'm well aware of Hurst tools, airbags etc....but the Halligan is still used by every Ladder Company, Squad and Rescue Company in the FDNY every day of the year.
