Tesla is about to explode?

The point being is that no automaker is immune to fires.......
Right but we need threads pointing it out when it happens. Like the 15k BMW repair thread. Now someone needs to start one about the 22k Tesla repair I posted earlier.

Whats to talk about really. Cars catch on fire and wreck.

People that buy used high end vehicles get what they get. In the tesla case the car had an 8 year 150K warranty.

People been buying burned out euro rigs since forever.

What you rarely hear is the full story - the tesla guy actually had a 3rd party repair for 5K but showed everyone his MSRP bill from tesla.

I agree any fire issues need to be dealt with. Of course; I don't want my house burned down and I certainly don't want to hurt anyone.
This thread is about Tesla's production growth.
All good.

Tesla explode? I hope so what a heaping junk show. They're a cult that sells cars. They just pulled the stupid cybertruck deliver date two weeks ago. Now the roadster has no price OR delivery date. The semi isn't even remotely close to production, it has slipped out that it's severely overweight, as the head of semi production quit in August. Six model s plaids if not more have been totalled in the last two months. They can't go 200 mph (shocker) are unstable above 120 per road and track and car and driver. Oh and the brakes catch fire, but his nuttiness will sell you a fictional big brake kit for $20,000. I hope the dumpster fire goes completely under.

I will say this about Tesla , them doing what they are doing kicked the other car companies into me too mode .
In a large urban city electric is probably the way to go .

I'd buy a 15-20k one for second car with 150mile+ range wake me up when they are here.
Oh and how much will it cost to run them when electricity price doubles or triples.

Its already cheaper to run gas than use commercial charging.

Not sure I have heard that before... How much is gas in your neck of the woods?
The Model 3 Std Range is about $12 to fill up, if you are really low.
The Model 3 Performance has a bigger battery and might cost $15.
Depending on rates, od course. These are ball part numbers.

Off peak EV rates where I live are 2.391¢/kWh. So using 100 kw is $2.391. Even if my rates went up 10x it would still be cheaper to “fill up” an EV.

When Iomega had a problem with their Zip drives which owners called the "click of death", what did they do? Come out with a new drive called the "Clik!". It was brilliant.

Tesla does Batteries properly...
I like their tech at a cell level and admire the thermal control effectiveness at the pack level, but am uncomfortable with the pack being constructed as glued slabs which have high stiffness but low strength. There must be a more clever way to implement a battery. I even wonder if the required very-stiff and strong pack housing was why they decided to incorporate that into the body structure.

Tesla does Batteries properly. They will continue to do so and despite the claims by others, Tesla is very well positioned To be on the leading edge of battery capability. They will have 4680’s years before anybody else has something comparable.
??

large format cells are nothing new.

Average electric bill for December for apartment in Sweden was 600 euros!!! Yes, six hundred! Some houses were slapped with 2,000 euros electric bill.
Europe is going through energy crisis that might become biggest since WWII. And it is all about electricity and gas.
So, while there is this push for EV, expect brakes to be engaged very soon and diesel might become popular again.
