Hard to believe.

Think of it as a Hummer for Millennials.

Structural exoskeleton my hiney.
We had trouble with the flat faceted sides on the F-117 back in the day. Sharp corners are not good. Too heavy, a lot of internal fillets & supports.

Incredibly *****.

What happened to the concept from a few months ago that looked 1000x better than this POS.

Color me not impressed.

Can we talk Musk into putting the Model3 system in this new Alabama-made Hyundai, expected out in a year, which will sell like hotcakes?

This thing is a joke for a truck
Trucks haul all kinds of stuff long distance
500 mile range (empty) ???🤔

Good luck with that guys that haul stuff !!!

So I've looked a bit more into this thing...

- the exoskeleton aspect is interesting in terms of changes in design. I guess it's sort of like the concept of a unibody, but they've made it tough and strong. The sludge hammer trick was fun to watch, but if it is stronger and more resistant to damage, it may be useful in many ways.
- ugly as can be.
- closed back is kind of onto something for many users, but will alienate some utility needs.
- don't care about beating a Porsche. In fact, that is stupid. Focus on getting 500 mikes in the base design, even if slower and less towing capability.
- 14000 lbs of max towing is pretty good, but I'd have to question safety. That said, a strong Regen capability when towing could be very useful.

I think that the standard trucks from ford especially, and Chevy are ugly. The big flat fronts, somewhat necessary to hold huge radiators, are often obnoxious to look at versus older more handsome designs, this thing is hideous in its own way, but not out of company with other trucks. Where they went wrong is I'm not getting reasonably in line with others' concepts of a relatively normal looking truck. Of course, doing that would take away the aerodynamic advantages.

I think if all models had 500 mile unloaded range, and then the more powerful and faster ones upped towing more and more, that would be better. The low end model range is too low for practicality, especially since it will probably be cut in half when towing.

I too could see a Tesla cargo van and chassis being a winner. Short haul delivery, small local school busses, etc would work great. This thing has the makings of some good attributes once it starts to look like something more folks would buy.

A 35 gallon gas tank at 18 mpg only gets you 630 miles, and most trucks don't have that much tankage or that good MPGs, especially when actually hauling stuff.

Guys that haul stuff also will appreciate full torque at 0 rpm.

Trucks and other platforms that are all/4wd are optimal for hybrids or maybe PHEV/Eva with a small generator. Not as sold on full eve for any application

I just pre-ordered mine; gonna keep the Model 3 and buy the Y for the wife.
It's soooo sexy!
Hauling stuff to the dump will never be the same.

At the 500 mile mark refueling my tank is faster than recharging.......
