Hi everyone and happy holiday to you all. I'm having a good time watching Band Of Brothers and wondering about car things and wanted to ask you all my question of the day. "How often can I use Techron in my gas tank"???? I usuall use the big bottle designed to treat 20 gallons. The reason I ask is due to the rising cost of gas again in California I'm starting to use Cosco gas more often so I toss in a bottle of Techron to put in more detergent.

No reason to run it any more than once every 3k miles like the bottle says.

I'm curious. The large bottles treat 20 gallons of gas and cost between $10-12 here. If my math is right, that works out to $.50-$.60 per gallon to treat.

If you just buy the lowest grade Chevron or Texaco gas, you will already get plenty of Techron additive in the pump gas, and I'd be surprised if the Chevron or Texaco are more than $.50-.60 a gallon more than Costco gas.

I can see using it occasionally... but why not just regularly use a Top Tier gas that has Techron already?

Just a guess, but maybe it's more concentrated in the bottle? I think that when the additive is put in the tanker, it's what, a quart or two in to an 8,000 gal tanker?

Hi guys,

WHEN I can I try to use a Top Tier gas only to top the tank off before I start my new work week. Currently only one of two car/truck has to use 91 octane gas so you know what I'm yalking about when I say price. My local Shell gas station is asking for 4 buck/gallon of 91 already. If it's convient to me I'll fill up at Arco cuz their gas appears to be much better now that's it's under BP now.
