And let’s not forget suspension issues at speeds over 130mph.
But, I must say, looks good posting it on Tik Tok doing 0-60.

Kinda funny how the incredible Taycan, with Porsche's storied history, is having so many problems with the Taycan.BMW had 4 door sedan capable of hitting 207mph in 1998 for general public, and no brake options. Brakes coming on vehicle were absolutely fine to stop it.
Absolute BS!
They have problems and still making money selling ICE.Kinda funny how the incredible Taycan, with Porsche's storied history, is having so many problems with the Taycan.
And how BMW, with all its history, struggles with EVs as well. From class action suits to major recalls (in Europe, BMW had to recall the BMW i4 because it had no battery crash pads), the outdated clunky iDrive, slow charging and of course using i3 common parts.
Wonder if they will consider a charging network?
EVs are helping BMW this year. BMW is having a profitable year, despite cutting its 2022 forecast. They are selling less cars but more high end cars. BMW is forecasting 7% to 9% margins down fromn 10%. 1st half 2022 YOY, BMW sales were down 13%; ICE poor sales were bouyed by an increase if their EV business. Demand is weaker but still there; BMW is stuggling on how to navigate supply chain issues. Perhaps Tesla can code some firmware for them? They have problems and still making money selling ICE.
Idrive is excellent thing. Far better than that attached iPad. But above everything, they can stop! And they don’t feel like Toyota Corolla over 130mph, if one could go that fast. But then, Plaid is not any faster in real world.
Thank you. Tesla repeatedly releases unfinished products then claims a software update will fix it. I don't understand why so many people defend such a terrible company. They were forced to recall 300,000 over the front hood causing damage to a wiring harness. No software will fix that. The Cybertruck and Semi are delayed again (shocker).BMW had 4 door sedan capable of hitting 207mph in 1998 for general public, and no brake options. Brakes coming on vehicle were absolutely fine to stop it.
Absolute BS!
They are addressing it. But, since their customers don’t slam into vehicles for no apparent reason or breaking out of cars under fire, it is a not news.
And, guess what? Company that is roasting people inside still did not address it. Or slamming into vehicles.
Porsche will be fine. They can slowly address issues. They don’t need fast cash to buy Twitter.
Darn those pesky facts!Whats the actual data on both cars crashed per million miles?
Plenty of Porsches have caught on fire but they don't sell many in comparison.
On brakes the teslas stop better than BMW's I Drives as a whole edging out even the Taycan cross tourism 4.
From Bjorn Nylands youtube page.

Correct Bjorn tests stock cars with the exception sometimes the cars have wheel/tire size differences in this case its noted.
This same test also has the acceleration chart of most of these cars.
I think you'd like Bjorn.
So, I might be mistaken, but what that has to do with Plaid?
Since, I spend a lot of time on track, and did that for last 25 years, working for oil company and car magazine, some time ago, I can tell you from performance stand point those numbers between those cars don’t mean anything. They are all good.
But, there is fundamental problem when car cannot stop properly (Plaid) or be controlled at high speeds. So, yeah, maybe, one day they get it to satisfactory point, but it tells a lot about company, know-how, and grift going on.
By the way, BMW M3 E36 and Porsche 911 had braking distance in 33-34m range back in 1995.
Many people who worked on the development of Plaid do not own one! What kind of arrogant, hubristic "argument" is that? I do not want to buy it (I own a tablet already) and that somehow excludes me from the conversation. You obviously care enough to answer here.Plaid's only one model, And you aren't buying one anyway, nor are you buying a competitive car.
The plaid ranks how it ranks regardless of anyones feelings.
Third party numbers from an independent guy that drives them all means a lot more than they do from a guy thats never driven even one of them.
Who cares what cars out this segment did or do at any point in time- they aren't meaningful comparisons.
What matter is how cars within a segment compete.
1968 L88 Corvette could hit 200 mph. Big deal.BMW had 4 door sedan capable of hitting 207mph in 1998 for general public, and no brake options. Brakes coming on vehicle were absolutely fine to stop it.
Absolute BS!

When the vehicle cannot brake and cannot grip road BCS. Suspension, those are not feelings. The car is JUNK! It does a good job on Tik Tok, but that is it.
I drove most of the cars on that list, including those Tesla tablets that are falling apart. So yeah, I do now.
Obviously, for you, based on your statement, should I or should I not discuss something, the most important thing is to keep up with neighbors. Plaid will do that to some extent, though, it ain't Mercedes S class, 7 series, or Audi A8, nor will it ever be. Let alone Porsche.
You have Plaid data in Car and Driver as far as I remember. No one said you cant talk about things you aren't going to buy, or claimed everyone that made them bought one.
IF you dont like the specs on plaid dont buy one. You arent. Like autopilot dont buy it if you dont want it.
Painting the whole companies braking performance on one one model or you perception of it doenst back the data.
What is the plaids data ?
As far as I remember that was the selling point of the makers of that tablet.1968 L88 Corvette could hit 200 mph. Big deal.

Companies that claim to be xyz cannot produce vehicles like that, except if they are that confident that owners really do not care about that. And apparently, they do not.
Yous still cannot help yourself separating discussion from personal ownership.
Nowhere close to 200 in stock form.1968 L88 Corvette could hit 200 mph. Big deal.
We have already discussed Plaid's brakes and articles. You are claiming its not competitive in its segment - show us dont tell us.
The burden on proving the plaids weakness lies on the claimant as with any claim.
I divorce ownership further than you do -
Im not willing to condemn my segment choices because of an issue perceived or real in that brands out of segment vehicles.
I LOOOVE Porsches I wouldnt not buy a 911 because of an issue with the Taycan.
Where you take the path of (Im paraphrasing ) " I chose the BMW/POrsche/ ID4 because tesla cant do brakes".
We have already discussed Plaid's brakes and articles.
Here is an interesting article:

No, you are not divorcing it. You have a fundamental issue with someone discussing something they don't want to buy but you like. They don't belong in the "club."
Tomorrow I might watch whether to park next to Tesla owners. They might have problems me breathing it around them.
