I can not speak to your specific combo., but in the old 6 v to 12 days the starter hit so hard the drive was damaged and sometimes the starter got damaged.
You can speak to my specific combo because if you actually took the time to read this thread instead of just providing commentary you would find that I am no longer using a bendix drive starter for this very reason and a couple of others. But don't feel bad, 3 of the 4 previous posts to yours were asking questions about information already here too. I guess some people like padding their posts counts instead of providing anything meaningful. And now this thread like many others has gone off the rails for no reason. Thank you very much!
