Sorta. Don't forget hill starts, or even just puttering around in the yard, in reverse (which often is geared higher than first). Once moving, a stickshift should haul more than an auto, dueing to having less losses; no additional tranny cooler is required. That said, do be careful, sometimes "tow prep" brings bigger engine radiator, bigger altenator (better to work electric trailer brakes, or electric radiator fans), better tires, etc.
