I've often thought that people had the idea that the other guy had a much easier life than one's own.
Take my next door neighbor for instance. They're a nice couple in their mid to late 30s. He's a CPA with his father's firm (local). She's a grad of a Big 10 school, bright and pretty.
They have twin girls 6 and a 3 year old boy, all adorable with their grandparents alive. Life is good.
Their mom told me the little guy has developed a kidney problem. It's autoimmune and his system is attacking his 2 kidneys. If treatment with steroids doesn't work, he probably will require dialysis down the road. Gawd, I hate it when children get seriously ill.
I wouldn't trade my problems, and I have a few, for theirs.
Say a prayer for them and their little guy, they're good folks and I'll return the prayer for anyone here at any time.
