So the parts wear-to-fit to the thicker oil?
 
I don't think this engine would be so clean after over 200,000 miles of 0W20 using conventional oil.

I think in most cars it is, and most people here don't use it long enough to see any real benefit and or dump it out too early. I only run synthetic in 2 of my vehicles and that's because they're primary drivers and I like the unmatched cold startup performance it offers. If I lived in a more temperate climate, I'd use conventional in everything probably. But since it can get to -30 here in the winter, I don't want my oil turning to cold honey overnight!

PYB says otherwise, that stuff keeps things impressively clean! So do HDEO conventional oils, a lot of class 8 trucks go a million miles on conventional with no adverse effects, and they're working harder than any passenger vehicle will ever dream of.
