Of the millions of Corvettes that ship from the factory with Mobil 1 in the pan, you make a vague reference to one of them needing rings and this is supposed to mean something?

, if a UOA had been done would Doug ever written that world famous article?
Doug's article has nothing to do with Mobil 1. It has to do with the use of UOA's and their validity. If you'd actually READ the article instead of taking a large steaming pile on this thread.... You might know that.

And why does his article come up so much during a Mobil 1 discussion?
Because some like to cite UOA's as an indicator of an oil's "wear" performance. And there was some speculation, primarily due to accusations by Valvoline, about Mobil 1's wear performance. Again, if you'd have READ Doug's article or done any real reading on this board, you'd know that.

I never see the reference given with other great oils like Napa syn. or Wally World store brand etc. How about Auto Zone store brand? I could go on but the World Series is about to start.
You see the "wear number scare" being brought up with Redline and RLI as well. I'd say look it up, but it sounds like you are more concerned with dropping a deuce and leaving than providing any real information or actually learning anything.
