That is unfortunate for you CSK shoppers. May we someday return to the days when oil specials attracted us to auto parts stored.
O'reilly isn't too bad. They run some specials and their staff are way better than the morons at AZ. They're no Napa, but it could be worse.
My wally world recently went up from $14 to $16 for super tech synthetic.

Speaking of rising oil prices at W-M, I noticed on Friday that Rotella T synthetic 5w40 is now $22/gallon. OUCH! It's no longer a good deal to me.
I want to say I paid under $16 for the last two jugs of Supertech. I'll probably go with QS if it's only a buck or two more next time around.
I'm attempting to run 3 intervals of Supertech in my Sienna, and have a UOA done on the 3rd. (To see how Supertech compares to QS Torque power, which did REALLY well in my case)

Negative.
I'll stay around 5k-7k on conventional. The longer runs are not possible with the more expensive oils with my timing chain motor.
Any time you take a so called 25k oil and run it only 10k, add 2 quarts of $7 oil and a filter change to come up with a TBN of 2 tells me not going to happen.
Plus I think changing oil is a good thing. Even in a car that sees 90% highway. I've not heard any start up noises since I changed my oil out. I'm coming up to 6k on the Mobil 1 and will be changing the oil this next weekend.
If I have to pay everyday price for oils, I'll be at Wal-Mart picking up either QS or Halvoline DS for $10 a 5qt jug (todays prices) Or maybe Mobil 5000 at $9.42 5qts.
I do have to think what I want to stash some of because ALL oils are going to be shooting up in the next few years.
And CSK will not be the place to buy oil anymore..
