Has anyone ran a ST9688 for 10k miles? Or would you? Box says 10k so im thinking of running it on my kids 1999 Honda Accord. Two5k OCI. Oil filter is hard to get at.

Honda recommends two oil change cycles per filter.

I wouldn't go 10k with a nitrile anti drainback valve. Honda may recommend two OCI's per filter, but their OE filters use a silicone ADBV.

I would spring for a Wix, Microgard Select, or PurolatorOne (with visual inspection prior to purchase)

Honda says you can run it 15k!

Back then, the factory OCI was 7500, and the filter only changed every other OCI :D

If you're near a Napa, consider the Full 2-OHD003
Oh. First time hearing about the Full. Interesting. I normally shop Walmart but ive been hearing about the Fram Ultra having By pass sealing problems. I like your recommendations!

It's actually the leaf spring to end cap interlace sealing. The bypass valve is OK.

If an ADBV is required for your car, this may be a problem. The difference between a standard ST and the MP version was the silicone ADBV, which would matter if doing more than 5-6K on the filter.

If it were my car, PG / Pentius all the way. You can get them in bulk for about $4 each. Worth it.

I run extended service oil and oil filters but would never run much over the 7k mile mark. Honda may say what they say, but real-life conditions are harsh on OEM oil filters for 10k miles. IMO

Up to two 5K mile OCI’s per 10K rated oil filter - if the engine is healthy inside .

Where can PG filters be purchased in bulk? That sounds worth looking into
