I new a guy that worked for Southwest Reasearch Institute in San Antonio back in the early '80's
He told me that Phillips 66 trop artic was one of the best tested back then.

I have used nothing but TA for the last 30 years. It came highly recommended to me from my uncle who has a fleet of construction vehicles. I can't believe how clean the inside of motors look after using this. No sludge. I keep cars a long time and have never worn out a motor, even in the old days when you were considered lucky to get 125K before motors started needing serious attention. I will post my next UOA in about 3 months or so. It tends to flow well in extreme cold. 5-30 allowed my 85 Cutlass 307 to start easily unassisted while visiting Minnesota at -29 ambient. Of couse a good battery helped.
