SuperTech Full Synthetic - who makes it in the midwest?

does anyone know who makes SuperTech Full Synthetic for wal mart stores in Illinois/Michigan? I've heard Pennzoil or exxon mobil. also WPP - who is that? I haven't seen a VOA or UOA for SuperTech Full Synthetic, so i'm wondering if it is decent oil. I'm assuming it is group III synthetic and not PAO.

There is only one supplier for Super Tech synthetic nationwide, WPP Warren Performance (NOT Warren Unilibume-the Coastal Oil makers). Same for the Syn Blend.

ONLY SuperTech conventional is different depending upon your location.

ok thanks. I take it Warren Performance is just a distributor - do you know who actually manufactures the base oil and formulates the finished product? I'm thinking it has to be one of the big guys.

For the price it seems like a great bargin - 1/2 the cost of other group IIIs. I've heard people say it has a bad additive package, but have yet to see a VOA to confirm.

I'll be sending some Super Tech syn in for UOA soon so hopefully that will shed some light on its quality.

BTW - I haven't seen rotella T syn in the 5qt jugs. what is the price?

The add pack isn't anything spectacular, but there are a few used oil analysis that show respectable results. For the price, it's hard to beat.

I've never seen it in 5 qt jugs, only 4qt jugs, usually at WalMart for about $13-$14 per gallon jug.

ToyotaNSaturn: I think that VOA is for the old SL formula as I have't seen Super Tech syn in 5w30 in the newer formula. The newer SM formula (10w30) claims to be ACEA A-3 rated so it must be a decent oil. TallPaul seems to love it.
