I must say that i was impressed with the outer wall of the filter. It was not until i got more than half of the way cut through did i find it possible to bend the can. With it completely off, i would not call the metal, at least on this filter, weak. Spring still had play. I noticed that there was some sediment in the oil that i drained out of the filter, but being an ARX clean cycle, i was impressed by how little could be seen. There seemed to be ample area, and the media was thick and sturdy. How it filters I don't know.
 
Cool, just picked one up at Wal-Mart for the RX-7, I liked it better than the optional 3593A and/or 6607 for that application. Thanks for the great pics!
