At least the super bowl gaga drones are small compared to that bull one.
4' diameter, and Gaga's army of drobes are only 15" wide, with shrouds.

No no, they just pull the fire alarm in the hotel of the opposing team at the wee hours of the morning.

This has been done before...

Dont care for the singer, and found her Tiffany commercial a bit pretentious. Who is she coming for?

Many of the commercials I havent cared for either. Too much political statement, not enough humor and silliness.

Halftime is starting, so will see if I change my thoughts after.

So you claim the drones, behind Gaga when she was on the roof during the game, were added to the live show graphically for TV?

Do you have a reference for your Alternative Facts?

SHOZ's conspiracy theory turns out to be correct. And maybe we didn't really land on the moon.....

Crediting thedrive.com for this:

For tech nerds like us at The Drive, one of the highlights of last night's Super Bowl halftime show was Lady Gaga's opening number, in which a swarm of Intel drones danced in meticulously choreographed precision in the sky behind the singer while she performed on the roof of Houston's NRG Stadium before she descended onto the field to sing for the assembled crowd.
Well...not quite. As it turns out, Gaga's inspired pre-jump installment of Dancing With Drones didn't occur live. It was taped several days in advance, according to The Verge, which received word from Intel. The whole bit where Gaga performed "God Bless America" and Woody Guthrie's "This Land Is Your Land" in front of a constellation of unmanned autonomous vehicles that formed, among other shapes, the American flag? Pre-recorded.
Blame the Federal Aviation Administration and its pesky no-fly zone around the stadium, which apparently did not include a halftime show exemption. The FAA shut down the airspace for more than 30 miles around the Super Bowl—a ban, the agency clearly stated, that also included UAVs.

That would explain how they were able to put a bunch of flying objects up above crowds.
Now its all clear. Risk Management. Pre-Recorded.
Gaga repels down in the live show, but never sang on top of the stadium during the live show.

Do they ever sing live? I recall an incident (or two?) where live shows didn't go so well.

Sounds like I missed a good game.

Crowds under the drones.

A LOT of moving parts in the sky, operated by digital radio signals.... Jamming from the roads and parking lots.

Who authorized this public safety hazard?

Is it the same idiots who think Amazon can deliver packages by drones?

Tell me I'm paranoid. I hope I'm wrong.
The drones were on recordings according to an internet sight. The FAA wouldn't allow a live presentation.

The no-fly zone around the stadium was just for the day of the superbowl. They put Gaga on the roof and she performed in front of the actual drones a day or two before the live game. In other words, the drones were there, just outside the stadium, but not live, not at the same time as the game.

Yes and no. Usually it is a hybrid where they are singing live but are backed up by a recording of themselves to fill in the weak spots.

And besides the drone thing, Gaga did not rappel down from the top during the performance. She was suspended about half-way down and started from there.

One news site reported that the drone footage took nine days to produce.
